Under Settings » Internet » Online Updates » Check for Updates, the update check can be configured to only notify you about critical, minor or experimental updates:

Choose this setting if you want to have the very latest version, including minor improvements.

ShareMouse can optionally download software updates and install them automatically the next time you start the program. If an update is no longer included in your maintenance, you can cancel the installation.

Mac users, heads up! You must confirm authorization of ShareMouse in macOS after installation a software update: Uncheck the existing ShareMouse item and check-mark it again under System Preferences » Security » Privacy » Accessibility - Make sure to exit ShareMouse before updating this setting as otherwise mouse clicks may not work anymore.

ShareMouse must be allowed to pass through your firewall to check for software updates.

The installation of software updates requires administrator rights.

All clients of the same computer group must have the same version number. You cannot mix old with newer versions. Before updating the first client, make sure, that all client's operating systems are supported by the newer ShareMouse version (see download page for system requirements).
